A stitched seed packet is used to create a frottage. The stitch is raised through brocading and creates the texture to make a rubbing.

'Fern Wärme Wien'
The red carbon frottage from the radiator (above) is one of many rubbings that make up this image. A faint map of NYC
makes up the background shapes by using acrylic and various inks and natural washes.

Working on the editing process of the high res version of 'Sonos Civitatem, MMXX' in Malta. Thanks to a generous grant for the video collaboration from Arts Council Malta, Mariella and I were able to move away from the iPhone version of the video. Their funding supported high res images of my frottages shot by Robert Staudinger. We then could use those images to make a video.
